I was happy to find this list in the IBM Connections Wiki detailing all the available options for IBM Connections integration in Lotus Notes, including which version of the client they are supported in, here is a sample
If the Sametime team is listening a similar list for Sametime would be a nice addition to the Sametime Wiki

The Recent Contacts feature keeps names in three places:
- in memory
- in the personal address book (names.nsf)
- in the DIP table under … Notes\data\workspace …
Prior to 8.5.2 Fix Pack 2 deleting a recent contact and emptying trash only deleted from names.nsf not the DIP table. Beginning in 8.5.2 Fix Pack 2 deleting a recent contact is a hard delete and the DIP table is updated so the address does not return.
Beginning in Notes 8.5.3 there is a new notes.ini variable to purge all recent contacts automatically. If you set PURGE_RECENT_CONTACTS=1 the client will one time purge all recent contacts. Once the purge is complete the notes.ini will automatically change to PURGE_RECENT_CONTACTS=0 to prevent purging recent contacts again.
There is also a VB Script that can be used to purge recent contacts on notes 8.5.x and 8.0.x clients.

If all those version numbers in the title don’t confuse you I don’t know what will.
Notes
Under the Notes/Domino product family you will find part number CZZ92ML provided as part of the Sametime Entry entitlement
Under Sametime you will find Part Number CZYF7ML
either way to get the installer for the Notes client you are looking at a 2GB download. The Installer is the same in either download. Once you extract the zip file you are looking for SametimeEntryClient\sametimeclient.for.notes directory if you used CZZ92ML or SametimeStandardClient\sametimeclient.for.notes directory if you used CZYF7ML where you will find installs for Windows, Mac and Linux.
For Windows it is an installer, for Linux a couple of package flavors, and for Mac there are install instructions available in a readme file.
For more information on upgrading and instructions how to check your Sametime version in Notes see this entry on upgrading to Sametime 8.5.1 in Notes 8.5.2.
I have already heard a number of people as “why didn’t they just ship it with 8.5.2†fair question, the answer I am sure has to do with timing of the Sametime 8.5.2 release and time to package in Notes 8.5.3 for shipping. The reality is I don’t care what version of Sametime ships embedded with Notes, what I care is that I can get the version I want without changing the Notes client version so this is fine with me.

If you are running Notes 8.5.2 with Fix Pack 2, apparently a fix to the Connections code in Fix Pack 2, broke the Files and Status plugins, from the technote:
I
I recently came across a situation where a particular client machine could not see the protector integration in their mail file. We checked the client version, notes.ini settings, mail template, and everything seemed correct. We launched IE and tried to use the web interface to Lotus Protector for Mail Security, and got this:
Other machines were working just fine (browser and Notes client), and that is when we can across this technote, which documents the requirement for TLS1.0 to be enabled in the browser in order to access Lotus Protector for Mail Security.
Sure enough a quick check of IE Settings showed that for some reason TLS 1.0 was disabled.
A simple check of the box, and Lotus Protector was accessible from the machine.
Technote 1444380: Web interface of Lotus Protector for Mail Security appliance cannot be accessed
As a reminder if you are using both Lotus Protector for Mail Security, and Lotus Connections, they don’t play nicely together in 8.5.1 or 8.5.2, this issue is not fixed until 8.5.3, in the meantime you can contact support for a hotfix.
